What makes a cropped cardigan?

The hem, not the fabric. A cropped cardigan finishes above the waist rather than at or below the hip, so it sits over a tee without adding length underneath. That is the whole difference from the longer cardigans we make, and it is why this one reads as a layer rather than as outerwear. If you want a cardigan that covers the hip, that is a different length and it is not on this page.
