What separates a bucket hat from a cap?
The brim, and the fact that it goes all the way round. A bucket hat has a short brim that slopes down evenly from the crown rather than projecting at the front the way a cap's peak does, so it shades in every direction. The crown is unstructured, which is why the hat packs flat and comes back.
The fabric
Made with 100% organic cotton and nothing blended in, so there is no composition to compare and no synthetic in the body of the hat. A cotton bucket hat behaves differently from a technical one: it takes a crease, and it softens rather than holding its shape off the head. Our materials page explains how we choose the cotton.
Colours and sizing
Three colours: Azure Blue, Black and Sandstone. One size rather than a size run, so there is no measurement to check — the crown is cut to sit on most heads.
