Beanies aren’t easie
"I don’t get on great with hats per say, some people say I have a “Nubian head” less generous people say my heads like a rugby ball. . but being bald as an egg and a little old to be wearing a hoodie-hood up to the supermarket (I get followed by security and was once told by a homeless guy in the police station I looked homeless. . ) I have to consider hats for being seen in public or catch a cold. Length of hat and thickness of hat are critical, I have never found I can rock the “blancmange on head” look, I want to wear my hat with no unfilled elfin extra material at the top. . pulled down fully. Wool hats are a challenge, they just seem too hot to me very quickly and they don’t exactly itch but irritate. Ok moans over! (How well we know each other now eh?) I liked the colour of these hats (the blue and red were all that remained), I was really delighted they are made from recycled wool, I’ve not really seen this anywhere, the wood did have a nice quality too it as well. . a bit like Kraft paper or mdf of wools. . grainy and Matt but for me the length was just too long for a folded beanie, I was considering given the great price and that they are made in the U. K. of keeping one as slouch beanie for work (maintenance) but I find I’m too active there to need a warm hat. Again for a folded hat I found the wool slightly too thick, it looked too broad on my little pin head. It’s a pity I would really love a hat in this material. If it were up to me I’d offer hats in fewer colours and several lengths or thicknesses!"
